About Ms. West
Marcia, who often goes by “Marcy,” is a proud San Diegan with a wide range of interests and experiences. She attended the University of Utah, skied powder throughout the Wasatch Range, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mandarin.
After college, Marcy was drawn to the “Motor City” and earned her Juris Doctor degree at Wayne State University Law School. She had the privilege of working in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan during two judicial internships. Additionally, Marcy was selected to write an appellate brief for her school’s Moot Court National Team and compete in the National Trial Competition. In 2015, Marcy was awarded the Joseph Grano Endowed Scholarship for excellence in Constitutional and Criminal Law.
In an effort to use both her language and legal skills, Marcy spent two years in Beijing, China, where she advised international clients on different aspects of Chinese Intellectual Property Law. She led infringement investigations and helped a famous design brand obtain the “Well-Known Trademark” distinction.
In 2018, Marcy returned home to San Diego and prosecuted misdemeanor crimes as a Deputy City Attorney. She successfully tried 5 jury cases to completion, and served as the Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes Unit liaison with the California Victim Compensation Board.
Now, Marcy is an Associate Attorney at Farmer Case & Fedor. She is committed to providing the firm’s clients with timely and cost-effective work, as well as constant communication.
Outside of the office, you will likely find Marcy working on a crossword puzzle or looking for ways to “pay it forward.”
