Team Fit Foodie wins 1st place Relay at Grand Cayman Islands Marathon 2018
Here’s a shout out to our support staff that diligently works within the firm and in their personal lives to succeed as a team.
Farmer Case & Fedor’s own Bessy Leszczynski was one of 8 runners from around the country that were sponsored to represent USA at the international Grand Cayman Islands Marathon & Half Marathon in Grand Cayman Islands on December 1, 2018. Grand Cayman is a large cruise-ship port and has a population of a little over 52,000 combining the 3 islands. Despite its small size, Grand Cayman Island is very influential with almost 600 banking and trust companies which include 43 of the 50 largest banks in the world*.
The two relay teams were gathered by inviting the first place overall male and female from all the FIT FOODIE 5k run events in the Fall of 2018. The 4-person marathon relay team completes the marathon course passing the one timing-chip in a “baton” style hand-off. There is a 13.1 mile semi-coastal loop which makes navigation simple for the many tourists that travel to run this race. The relay exchange points were very well marked and the costumed cheer & aid stations kept the spirits high as the weather climbed into the breezy humid 85 degrees.
Congratulations to the men’s & women’s FIT FOODIE Team for winning the relays with competitive times!
