About Ms. Jester
Ms. Jester is an Associate Attorney at Farmer Case & Fedor’s San Diego office. Her practice primarily focuses on civil litigation defense. In addition to managing a full caseload, Ms. Jester is actively pursuing the enhancement of her intellectual property skillset by preparing for an upcoming Patent Exam in order to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) as a patent practitioner. Further, Ms. Jester’s passion for entrepreneurship is rapidly expanding through her studies with Stanford University College of Engineering where she is completing her Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Ms. Jester formerly served as a Member at Large on the ’19-’20 Executive Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association’s New Lawyers Division. In addition to overseeing the collective aims and objectives of the Committee, Ms. Jester served in leadership capacities of the NLD’s Community Outreach and Programming subcommittees. In summer 2020, she developed and hosted “Incivility in the Law: Dealing with Opposing Counsel” wherein a panel of five San Diego legal professionals, including two SD Superior Court judges, engaged in open dialogue regarding the intended meaning of “zealous” representation and civility’s impact on facilitating service of justice. Through the SDCBA’s allocation of Jay Wheeler Funds, each member in attendance was provided free CLE credit. More than 250 legal professionals across California attended the wildly successful virtual event.
Ms. Jester earned her L.LM in International Law from the University of San Diego in 2018, during which she was invited to publish her research on the Chinese Social Credit System as part of a treatise on international business transactions. Ms. Jester obtained her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2017, where she served in the Small Business Law Center’s Patent Clinic, a pilot program sponsored by the USPTO. During law school, she was an Intellectual Property Fellow and received a CALI Award in Constitutional Law and Patent Clinic Seminar. Ms. Jester earned her B.S. in biology and a minor in English from the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith in 2012. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Jester spent a year studying abroad and teaching English in South Korea at the University of Ulsan.
Outside the practice of law, Ms. Jester coaches female attorneys who seek to integrate the up-leveling of their careers, finances, and relationships by removing limiting beliefs through various tools and modalities, including Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and others.
