About Mr. Humann
James W. Humann is an Associate Attorney at Farmer, Case & Fedor. James was born in Tarrytown, New York and raised on the west coast of Florida. He attained his undergraduate degree at Florida State University and graduated cum laude in 1993 from the FSU College of Law. During law school, Mr. Humann worked as a judicial intern at the Florida Supreme Court for former Chief Justice Parker Lee McDonald and served on the Law School Appropriations Committee. After graduation from law school, Mr. Humann joined Johnson, Blakely, Pope Ruppel & Burns, PA in Tampa Florida, where he gained litigation and trial experience in state and federal courts throughout Florida. During this time, he was admitted to practice before all of the Federal District Courts in the State of Florida and the U.S. Supreme Court. From there Mr. Humann served as in-house counsel for Hard Rock Café International (USA) in Orlando, Florida where he managed the international company’s litigation and intellectual property portfolio.
After Hard Rock, Mr. Humann formed a company that provided consultation and contract litigation services for companies involved in the area of digital film acquisition and distribution. After being admitted to the California State Bar, Mr. Humann joined the San Diego mass tort litigation firm of Paglialunga & Harris where he represented clients nationwide that had been injured by defective medical products and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Humann is a member of the San Diego County and Los Angeles County Bar Associations.
In his free time, Mr. Humann enjoys playing golf and taking boot camp fitness classes. He also enjoys playing guitar, reading, and going to the beach.
